Welcome to the Reid Certification Examination

The Reid Certification Examination consists of both a written portion and a practical portion. The written exam consists of 26 essay questions, 17 multiple-choice questions and 27 true or false questions. Each essay question is worth 3 or 4 points, each multiple-choice question is worth 2 points and each true or false question is worth 1 point. The total possible score is 160 points. The examinee must score a minimum of 136 points (85%) to receive a passing grade. You will have 90 minutes to complete the written exam.

The Practical Exam consists of ten interview video segments and ten interrogation segments. During the interview segments you must determine whether the subject's behavior is truthful or deceptive and indicate some of the behaviors you used to base your decision upon. During the interrogation segments you must indicate the interrogation tactic best illustrated in each example. You will have 20 minutes for the practical portion of the exam.
